I’ve been trying to spend a little bit more time over on Google+ over the past couple of weeks and it’s definitely growing on me, until now the only social network I’ve frequented on a daily basis has been Twitter and that still takes up a large chunk of my day although it’s taken a Google+ shaped hit recently.
One of the features of Google+ which got a lot of praise after the initial launch was the ability to create various circles in order to segment those people/pages you are following and it’s definitely a feature I’ve found really handy as I have been adding new people to my fold. One thing which I have been doing is seeking out some of my favourite SEO’s and Internet Marketing hero’s and also the key agencies these guys are often a part of.
Initially this was for my personal use but last week I started to share the circles I had created for 5 of my all time favourite agencies, 1 per day Monday – Friday. I had some great feedback from people following me on Google+ and also from the agencies themselves which was a surprise so I decided to add all the circles to one blog post. This one, in case you were wondering..
Day 1 – Koozai
First up is the brilliant Koozai team from the UK. Some of be best digital marketing advice coming out of the UK at the moment is over on their blog via Mike Essex, Samantha Noble, Tara West, Anna Lewis, Alec Sharratt and others… not to mention their speaking events.
Well worth circling the team!
Day 2 – SEER Interactive
Second digital marketing agency in this series of Google circles is Philly based SEER Interactive founded by Wil Reynolds . SEER’s blog delivers again and again, the post by Rachael Gerson on screaming frog is the latest example of top notch content.
Just get on these folks right now!
Day 3 – Distilled
3rd instalment in the series of leading iMarketing agencies to follow is the epic Distilled! Like many others in the field I’m a massive fan of the distilled blog, videos and slide. They are true leaders in the world of SEO and wider online marketing.
I had the great fortune to interview co-founder Will Critchlow in my “Very British SEO interview” and am extremely grateful for his time. Shout outs to for Paddy Moogan, John Doherty and Tom Critchlow all of whom have helped me out (sometimes without knowing)
Day 4 – BlueGlass
Well worth Circling!
Day 5 – SEOMoz
Last, but by no means least in the series of SEO agency circles is probably the most well known of them all! The SEOmoz crew. The irony of course is that these guys aren’t actually an SEO/inbound/digital marketing agency at all, they packed in that game years ago to concentrate on business of creating some of the best industry tools out there.
Besides not actually offering a consultancy service any more SEOMoz is still in my eyes the greatest SEO resource anywhere on the net thanks to contributions from Rand Fishkin, Jennifer Sable Lopez, Casey Henry, Gillian Muessig and a host of other well know faces.
If you only take on one of the 5 agency circles I’ve posted this week it has to be this one.
